Below are links to the books I wrote in 8th and 9th grades. They are the bane of my authorial existence, but they also serve to show me how much my writing has improved.
I created the Amazon listings for them years ago and have no access to them anymore so I will not make any money off the sale of these books.
Fairy Tale Time
Jeff, James, Rosie, Abby, Felix, an annoying little brother, an elf addicted to Fruit Loops, and a bad guy - err girl who is quite bad are the characters who make up the exciting account of Fairy Tale Time. They have a machine that does the coolest thing: send you into books. The team hangs with the characters, plays games, and sometimes run for their lives! They just might make it last until the science fair. View on Amazon Author's note: I wrote this in the eighth grade. It's incredibly sarcastic, but in the weirdest ways. It's not something I'm super proud of, but hey! For being written by eighth grade me it's not too bad. Eighth grade me was a weird person and I think Fairy Tale Time proves it. |
Fairy Tale Time: A Tale of Two Hoods
In the sequel to Fairy Tale Time the MTT have drifted apart. James, Jeff, and Freddy are the only ones who care for the Magic Transport Machine. Meanwhile in Darkwood, a drastically altered version of Little Red Riding Hood is assisting the villainous Grandma. The thief is sent to Iowa to capture the Magic (even though it's not magic) Transport Team. Some "technical difficulties" send them all into the tale of Robin Hood where they encounter a new friend. After much excitement some unexpected heroes might just save the day... View on Amazon Author's note: And looky here there's a sequel that I wrote in the ninth grade! I can't say it's much better, but there is more of it and more annoying characters. The "drastically altered version of Little Red Riding Hood" is more of the MC in this one and she is one of the most obnoxious characters I've ever written, but that's what I thought was cool when I was 14. Side note, for some reason Amazon thinks this is just a different edition of the first book, so it can be difficult to find the link to it, which is why I conveniently posted it here. Maybe it is for the best that you'll never be able to find it anywhere else... Also, it's almost twice the price as the first one because it's probably more than twice the size, physically. |
